Prototype 0.5.5: read old fixes in context
An old prototype fix can appear when you search for a skirt problem today. It may still be useful background, but first check which edition, interface and build it describes.
What 0.5.5 corrected
The October 2025 log records a frilled-sleeve sketchbook image fix and frilled-skirt grain and naming corrections. It also warns of a panel-order issue with existing frilled skirts; newly made dresses were not affected by that change.
Why the version numbers do not compare directly
The prototype uses 0.x labels, while the release records use build numbers such as 403 and 410. They are not a single sequence you can convert by size. Keep platform, date and version together when reading advice.
Use the history without risking the current project
Confirm your edition, then follow current panel and seam checks. A similar symptom is not enough to apply an old prototype issue to every Steam garment. Keep a screenshot and project information for a report, and do not alter your only save to try an unconfirmed historical workaround.
